What are students Saying about us?
Dec. 15 is a day that I will never forget, the day when I officially became an Emory Eagle. Reflecting on my application season, I would love to express my gratitude to every single individual who has helped and guided me through this challenging time. But more importantly, I want to thank my counselor for his absolute support and encouragement that made the entire process much easier. Jay helped me enormously with my essay writing, from brainstorming ideas for my PS and making sure that I was on track, to polishing all my pieces. He is resourceful and supportive, and he has a lot of great strategies that make everything more feasible. My PS has been revised more than 20 times and it is absolutely the best piece that reflects both of our great work. He is also efficient and he knows clearly how to help me to achieve my goals, and as long as I follow his tactics, I can accomplish everything. My university acceptance means a lot to me as it acknowledges all my efforts during my high school years, but it also evident Jay’s competency as a wonderful counselor.

My personal statement, which underwent nearly 30 revisions with Jay’s guidance, stands as the most remarkable testimony of his help on my college application journey. With Jay’s assistance, I learned how to effectively concentrate my unique characteristics and academic achievements into 300-word essays to appeal to the admission offices across various institutions. The two of us together planned my application season really neatly and truly paved the path to success.

I was sitting at school over Winter Break with teachers surrounding me, but with no one able to help me tell my personal story. Out of nowhere, Jay walked into the office casually re-visiting his former campus. I turned to him and after one meeting, he drafted my personal statement into a creative method that told it in an impactful way that none of us had ever thought of before. Jay related to me on new levels of understanding. I immediately hired him to help me edit all of my college essays. We stayed up day and night, even on holidays, editing my essays to express my personality and I ended up with admissions to my dream school, Stanford, and many other tier one colleges. My statistics would not have granted me admission to tier one schools, but Jay found such creative ways to show my uniqueness that it trumped weaker parts of my application. I am grateful for where he helped me attend school, and truly changed my life.
